Five: Long or round tables?

Long Rustic Oak Tables: These lend themselves to long garlands, lots of candles and a ‘fuller’ aesthetic. With the huge fireplace in the middle of The Barn, long tables really work with the symmetry of the room, so if you’re all about the detail and straight lines, these are the tables for you! Just add a coloured runner and napkins (you don’t need tablecloths), plenty of greenery, bud vases and candles of varying height. Even if you go for round tables in the room, we always recommend a long top table in front of the fireplace, with something big and beautiful behind you on the mantlepiece!

Round Tables: These are your more traditional option, they seat 8-10 people comfortably and the styling is simpler as most couples opt for a floral centrepiece in the middle of each table. White linens are included with your hire, but to really elevate your round tables we always recommend adding charger plates, coloured napkins, tablecloths and candles. People always ask if round tables are more sociable as everyone is facing inwards, and our answer to this…your guests will chat and have a great time whatever table they’re sat at, it really makes no difference!
